Ticking Isuzu Trooper?
I have a ticking noise on my 95 Trooper with 74K which sounds for all the world like a sticky lifter. I put the ATF in it, put in Marvel Mystery Oil, even filled the crankcase with kerosene and run above idle for 20 minutes. None of this work. I went on a journey of 200 miles, and can be thinned to 100 others. I had the intake cleaned with BG, and clarified that the noise for about 3000 miles. Since I'm using the CRC cleaner intake, and works for about 100 miles. Technology in a shop told me that there was a Troopers out of the TSB, to carry weight of oil to zero in order to clarify the sound delay. Another technique I was told that the first guy tried to ruin my engine. Anyone have any experience with this problem on this vehicle? I wish I had his head torn off and the valves looked, but I hope the only technology refuses to work on Troopers. I do not have the time or experience to do it myself.
Nowhere in this history did you once mention that the valves were actually settled. Has anyone actually tried.
