How a Mint Condition Action Comic No. 1 of value today.?
I have a friend who wants to know what his action is comic # 1. This is not a reprint of his Real Thing and it is in perfect condition. Where can I find out what it is? Or is it someone you know?
October 2003 (newStream) - A reward of up to $ 1 million is offered by the executive directors of leading business Baltimore, Stephen A. Geppi, a Near Mint condition copy of the rare 1938 book that introduced Superman comic First and launched an icon of American pop culture. "originally sold for ten cents each in 1938, well worn copies of Action Comics # 1 are now estimated at several tens of thousands of dollars each. Less than 100 copies are known to exist. "I'll pay at least $ 25,000 for a non-restored complete copy in good condition and up to 1 million dollars for a genuine "near mint" condition copy of Action Comics # 1, "said Geppi, president and CEO of Diamond Comic Distributors, a $ 300 million three-year business that distributes comics, collectibles, toys and games in the world.
