Darn Cat
I have a male cat who was recently brought into the house and he is spraying from time to time?
There was another chat here before the arrival of cats that. My only those sterilized. It probably will not stop unless you do something. May be a urinary problem (and it's a good idea to get this excluded), but it is likely that it is spraying because of stress being in a new environment, and there are some things you can try. It may be as simple as the previous cat had urinated somewhere in the house and tries to cover his own scent. Is it spray in one particular location or in the house? If it is to use one place which is the problem most likely. Each time it sprays, you should clean the area with an enzymatic cleaner to remove all traces of urine. Also look get a spray Feliway (cat synthetic pheromone) and spray it on the spot he urinated after cleaning. If a cat interior using a litter box, make sure the tray is kept clean and is in a situation where it is not disturbed during use. Also consider giving a second tray so that it always has a specific provision. I spray Feliway mentioned above, if it's an indoor cat also consider using a Feliway diffuser, as it helps reduce stress levels and can be very useful in helping cats spray. If worse comes to worst, there are various medications that can be used, but these are generally options last resort. I hope that gives you something to go on.
