This is an excellent example of a mini-lesson for four years?

I have many ideas that I'm having trouble focusing on something simple and short enough to fall into the category] mini-lesson [. I know of no children, but I'm a great reader storyteller /. I want to read a story that is part of a winter theme I just need to know That after-wards that is fun, engaging, and educational for 4 years ... [Not to mention "short" ... is] a mini-lesson.

The Mitten by Jan Brett, a single mittens for them to cut and decorate. Or do the lace of a pair of mittens together and cut (and color if time) animals that match the story. (There are models on Internet ... perhaps even on the site of Jan Brett, if I remember correctly). Then they can tell the story. The snowy day by Ezra Jack Keats * Make a list of all things they can think to do in the snow. Make it more interesting by making a snowman in winter or on the icon of other writing ideas down. If time permits, you can even kind of activities that can be done alone ... activities that can be done with a friend and business that can be done with a group. * Ask children to play what the snowman say to Peter if he could speak. Again, write answers on a simple snowman important, if possible. * Ask the children if you were Peter, how you spent your day in the snow? Yet when writing the answers down. Maybe you want to offer a paper snowflake border (or something similar) and ask them to a drawing, then dictate and make a class book.
