What to send someone into the army?

I have a box of books, playing cards, cartoons, pictures & Snacks. Someone suggested Ramon Noodles & spam. Any other suggestions?

Things seem OK, except perhaps spam, like the other poster mentioned. In addition, stationery (pens, paper, blank cards, etc.) are very convenient for the staff there as it is sometimes difficult to find a way to write at home (I've heard of guys out there sending notes on scraps of cardboard house, because that's all they had to use). powdered drinks such as Gatorade and Crystal Light is also popular because it covers the taste of water. Other suggestions I have seen are: - Hygiene items, including toothpaste, shaving cream, lip balm lips, disposable razors, foot spray, throat lozenges cough lozenges cons / soft / bar soap unscented, small packs of detergent laundry (soft / unscented) - Foods such as nuts, popcorn, ramen noodles, trail mix, crackers, canned cheese (ie Cheese Whiz), fruit snacks, cookies, beef jerky (purchased in store only, and make sure there is no pork products in it) - Miscellaneous items, including AA, magazines gaming computer stuff, etc. (especially not the news / news, and certainly not Playboy and others), items stationery (pens, paper, envelopes, cards, etc..)
