81 vintage comics 80 years worth .....?
50 cents each, to about 40 dollars? plus I have a gargoyle Set # 's 1-4 limited edition which I sell for $ 12 over this
If the comic is from the 1980s and today they will not be super helpful. The cartoons are of great value during the 1960s and earlier. Over the past 30 years, you have to sort all books to perhaps find a handful that would go to $ 10 each, and only if they are almost perfect condition. The books most valuable this period were those that were developed independently. Books general public such as X-Factor, New Mutants, Spider-Man, Superman, etc.. From the 1980s-are now very common and easy to find and therefore are not generally rare or desirable. Back in the 60s and before, the children treated their comics like crap and throw them because they did not think they would be worth something someday. It is why the older comics are rare and more valuable in better condition. If you want the price of books, get a copy of the wizard or use http://www.comicspriceguide.com but you should know how the price guide early works. The prices for a given question are the highest prices a retailer may reasonably expect to ask questions of form almost perfect. That's for retailers. Retailers can put a tag of 4 million price on a comic strip and wait 10 years for a person to walk in and buy at this price. If you want it sold now instead of ten years, you usually have to settle for a piece of 50 cents or less for most books of the 80s and 90s. Comics listed $ 7 and you're more likely to see more money. Check eBay to see what people actually pay for the books you have. You may find many of them in "batches" or collections, not for sale individually.
