Do you think it's really based on a true story ", if yes, what do you think the anecdotal evidence of current owners who claim the place is not haunted at all? Apparently, Ed and Lorraine Warren, the two leaders of the Amityville Horror hoax, have been associated at one time with this place. As each of their investigations, they found positive proof of a haunting. You just try to mind your own business, living in a beautiful old house, only to have a group of intrusion Wackos and take a look at your windows. It might be time to buy a size 12 and little salt.
No. I a good story, or an entity supernatural creature, but supposedly haunted reconstructions bore me stupid. It might be "based on a true story, but that probably just means that the story was inspired by the events alleged. In other words, it is still fiction. I am amused by the news story I heard on the current owners and how they have a real fear on their hands - Be haunted by tourists, onlookers and amateur ghost hunters. They erected a No Trespassing sign, but you are still having problems. They have not reported any strange happenings since they moved in Not surprising.
