How did Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp become best friends, if Wyatt was a cop?
How did Doc and Wyatt, the shooter the fastest two in any history, become best friends with each other, so ran Doc Holiday and Wyatt cop was a cop during the Old West days? Hello, Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp were not been considered "the fastest gunmen in history." Doc Holiday has been a professional player, and probably not above 'bend' the law. There was also a killer who would his opponents when they cheated (a common practice in the 1880s) or when it was accused of cheating. He was not wanted by the law because they were deemed "legal" killings. Two of his murders made, not by a quick draw, but drawing his pistol from under the table. Wyatt Earp was a lawyer, recently, but it was more of a proscribed as Doc. He was not credited with a "Quick Draw" (except in movies), but it was a pretty ruthless' Shoot for kill 'lawyer. He succeeded in part because his pistol (Buntline Special) had a longer barrel, which gives greater accuracy and is capable of killing at a greater distance. A property that has been very useful for him at the OK Corral. It has been suggested that Wyatt Earp is far from the hero he was portayed as in several films. The incident at the OK Corral, for example, (allegedly) was a deliberate attempt get rid of Clancey at any price. Apparently, they (Wyatt and Doc) met in Dodge City and became friends several years ago (about 1876). As they were both "fringe" of the letter of the law and supported each other, they were feared.
